Helena married her high school sweetheart and stood proudly beside him as he became a famous heavy metal drummer. But she couldn't stand by and watch as he became a cheater and drug addict.
Now divorced and filled with heartache, she's got a bone to pick with the rock n' roll lifestyle—specifically Torsten, the band's lead guitarist. His arrogance, ruthlessness, and lust for sex and money, led the band to international fame. Who else would lead her sweet husband to abandon his vows?
Yes, Torsten might be objectively hot, and he might occasionally take her breath away. But he needs to pay for what he did, and Helena is hellbent on making sure he does.
Even if she gets burned in the process.
Torsten made it to the top by taking no shit. He beat all odds to become the lead guitarist of the biggest heavy metal band in Norway and won't let anyone take that away from him.
Especially not his first drummer, once his best friend, now kicked out of the band for being an unreliable junkie.
And definitely not Helena, that drummer's ex-wife who keeps pestering him. But he must admit, with those eyes, those curves, and that fiery temper, she's one hell of a distraction. It's cute that she thinks she can ruin him. Plus, her attitude is a nice change of pace from all the groupies clamoring to get on top of him. He just can't let her get under his skin, nor into his dark past.
If he's not careful, she just may be the heavy metal god's downfall.

Torsten sat like an ominous, watchful statue. His muscular, tattooed forearms rested on his thighs while his long, guitarist hands connected at the fingertips in a gesture similar to a prayer.
He didn't want to be there. But he had to do this. Every other option had been exhausted. And no one else but him could do this.
Across from him sat Lars, or rather, Lars' body being animated by whatever substance altered his brain chemistry at the moment. Who knew how much of the real Lars was still in there. Torsten stopped caring a long time ago.
Lars fidgeted, twitched and scratched. Every few seconds he would look at a space on the wall above him, then look away. His once round baby face sunk in, stretching tightly over his skull. The dark circles under his eyes indicated he hadn't slept for days. He didn't even seem to notice Torsten in the room....
